This totemic figure expresses many of the main themes and tropes Sibiya was renowned for. He could be described as ‘PANTHEISTIC’, since many natural symbols, such as trees, the elements, the sun and stars, find rich ritual and religious meanings in his work, to go along with the subtle and refined carving and painting techniques he possessed, and which are well exemplified by this effulgent figure.
