Ragmana was born in 1962 in Chandama, Limpopo. He started sculpting at age 15 in 1977 under the guiding hand of artist Simon Mikosi. Ragmana receives his ideas as visions and creates work as a narrative inspired from local lore, biblical teachings, as well as foreign mythologies.
