Join us for the Javett-UP iteration of the Tigritudes Pan-African Film Festival happening 28 - 30 September 2023. We will be focusing on “Glimpses of the 50’s and 60’s” an ode to Sam Nhlengethwa’s lithograph series of the same name.
We invite you to explore the Tigritudes cycle, a chronological anthology of Pan-African film cinema (126 films from 1956 to 2022). The 50s/60s and 2000s of the program will be presented with screenings followed by talks and panel discussions to resonate part of the history of cinema from the continent and its diaspora.
