The Javett Art Centre at the University of Pretoria (Javett-UP) is excited to announce that bookings for the October school break instalment of Bokamoso Holiday Art Programme, happening from 02 to 06 October 2023, are now open. This five-day engaging programme caters for kids aged seven to fifteen years, and provides an enriching and enjoyable experience during their school holidays. With intake space being limited, parents are encouraged to book on time to avoid disappointments.

The October edition of the school holiday art programme will focus on exploring Mapungubwe, a subject which connects with three exhibitions that are on view at Javett-UP. These include the National Treasures: The Mapungubwe Gold Collection, The AngloGold Ashanti Barbier-Mueller Gold of Africa Collection, and Specifications for a Reverse Archaeology. The fun packed programme also includes an interactive tour, discussions, sculpting, and drawing workshops.

The Javett-UP is a space that enhances a unique and exceptional transdisciplinary learning through the arts. The centre prides itself as a place not only for enjoying art but for also learning about it. This value is complimented by its 2023 programme which is conceptualized around an Art Centre as a Living School.
