With the school holidays coming up, the Javett-UP is thrilled to announce that BOKAMOSO HOLIDAY ART PROGRAMME is continuing in 2025, kicking-off with the first instalment 31 March - 04 April. Bookings are open on Webtickets!

Take advantage of the π—˜π—”π—₯π—Ÿπ—¬ π—•π—œπ—₯𝗗 π——π—œπ—¦π—–π—’π—¨π—‘π—§ 𝗼𝗻 π—ͺπ—˜π—˜π—ž π—£π—”π—¦π—¦π—˜π—¦ to enroll your children (aged 7–15) for an inspiring week-long art experience during their 1st term school-break. This programme’s edition is inspired by π™’π™š, π™π™π™š 𝙋π™ͺ𝙧π™₯π™‘π™š exhibition’s theme π˜“π˜ͺ𝘷π˜ͺ𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘀𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭: 𝘈𝘳𝘡π˜ͺ𝘴𝘡 𝘈𝘴... which unpacks how artists have been commentators of their time through artworks that form part of the CAPS curriculumWe think art is a superpower to change the world. Throughout the week, participants will discover how artists stand up against injustice, celebrate identity, and tell stories that shape the future using art. The Living School is an on-going project that explores the concept of arts education and learning within a museum context.

Day 1: Creating Posters Inspired by Historical Movements 
Day 2: Textile Art/Resist-Dyed Fabrics
Day 3: Sculpting the Baobab – The Tree of Life and Resistance
Day 4: Designing Wind Chimes using recycled material
Day 5: Collaborative Zine-Making Workshop
